MISSION  

Dedicated to developing a structured general surgery residency training programme which provides opportunities for trainees to acquire in-depth knowledge, high standard of skills and attitudes essential for a general surgeon. Our goal is to produce at the end of the training an accredited, competent, independent general surgeon.  

VISION

We will strive to achieve excellence in surgical training and education and our programme will be recognized as one of the leading surgical training programmes in the region.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the training, trainees will be able to:

• Assess and manage patients presenting or referred to surgeons.
• Determine treatment options and treat patients.
• Contribute to the continuity of patient care.
• Plan for patient transfer and discharge
• Communicate with patients, their family members, surgical team, healthcare professionals and specialist units.
